Been hunting in Pawnee city since I was 14 years old. (37 now) Been going to this place every year for gas food and drinks.
This is the only gas station in town.
I was working here in Pawnee and working late, so I stopped by Casey's and asked the girl named Summer in the kitchen if she could make me a pizza. I have eaten lots of pizza before, but I will never forget this one! It was the best pizza I have ever had hands down. The only thing I didn't like was that the corporate office makes them put the sliced ham on the bottom. Now we all know ham is the moistest meat out there. So when they cook it the water expels and the bottom of the crust gets soggy. That is a big No No for pizza. But she did what she could, with what she had. This girl not only made me a fantastic pizza from Caseys ( who would have thought ) but she put her pride in what she was doing and it showed. I'm sorry to say I couldn't remember her name for a week, and the next day I came in and she saw me and said " how are you today Terry " I know I only told her my name once and she never forgot it. I was very impressed!! I just hope that the company realizes what a rare and fantastic asset they have, and maybe have her train some ppl on customer service and work ethics.
Don't tell you when the pumps are malfunctioning. Always get a receipt. I have had the sheriff visit me because I was reported as a drive away. For all the time employees spend outside smoking one would think they could put their head out and holler " Gotta pay inside".
Bad business practice for a place that's limited to customers 99% of the year
Quick, friendly service. Well satisfied.
However the last 2 years this place doesn't place pizza out. (or any food for that matter)It's seams more like they would rather push out of town money away then make a few extra bucks selling it by the Slice vs orders only. Needless to say ill bring my own food next year and get my fuel in another town. Shoot maybe camp In another town all together. Won't stop hunting here though. Love the area
